Boxers are high energy, goofy and devoted creatures. They also burp, snore (loud!) and can stink up a room in seconds. There's nothing like Boxer gas. I could be lethal in the wrong hands.

In spite of all this (or because of it?), we think the Boxer is one of the most fun, most interesting breeds. Neither of us are cut out for long-term fostering. We both get way too attached and have decided that for us, to foster means to adopt and we can't have more than the two dogs.

However, occasionally we'll foster short-term. We've had a couple of overnight fosters, a week-long and then........... Caspian. The "Really Steve, he'll only be here two weeks max. I promise." to "There are no other homes for him so can he stay just until he heals please? How long? Um, eight more weeks probably. That's all." Caspian found an incredible home and is happily bounding through their house, their yard and their hearts.

Dora, as with all the fosters,
must kiss Dest.

Can you tell what time of
year it is by Scotty's
attire?

Energetic boy!

Caspian's such a handsome
boy.

Caspian also has a pin in
his leg so it will
heal from a bad break.

He has to be restricted
but he's mending well!

Meeting his future sister Marine
for the first time.

Kissing foster mom Dest good-bye.

Caspian helping to spread
the word about rescue with
his new family.

Steve and Foreman
who had a rough way to go!

Too bad Boxers don't
like to give affection.

Dest and Foreman
saying good bye before he
went to another foster home.
