Las Vegas is certainly all it's cracked up to be..... and more. Generally speaking, neither of us gamble. However, we did place a bet for a friend and played a few slot machines but only long enough to be able to say we saw the casino in our hotel. We stayed at The Golden Nugget which is on Fremont Street. It was VERY nice, not on the strip but still in the midst of activity.

The contrasts in Vegas were interesting. I'm sure that for those who live there it's "no big deal" but to us it was wild. Mountains down the street, desert all around, hustle and bustle in "town" and peaceful serenity nearby. It's definitely a "do again" trip.

One can gamble anywhere while in Vegas; even at the gas station!

Steve LOVED the lions outside the MGM Hotel.

Roarrrrrrr!

The hand-painted ceiling inside The Venetian. Beautiful!

Even the lav at The Venetian was impressive. :-)
