We took our first "family vacation" over the Fourth of July weekend, 2004. Steve, Dest, Katie, Chance and Abby piled into the truck and drove up to Newnan Georgia (a suburb of Atlanta) to visit Uncle David. It was a brief visit but fun for all. Since Uncle David works for Delta, we got to meander around the hangar at Hartsfield Int'l Airport. Dinner of Bison steak and Bison burgers was great at Ted's Montana Grill. Part of the journey was away from the interstate and led us through Griffin Georgia where there is an old Confederate Cemetary. Very cool.

while eating lunch.

Walking back toward the
truck still trying to
keep bugs at bay.

on the way to Newnan.

Looks uncomfortable!

and maybe more comfortably.

Chance was WAY
impressed with this jet engine!

Checking out a plane that's
been gutted for overhaul.

No Kate, you may NOT
have one of these for
your birthday!

The same goes for you Chance!!

co-pilot seat.

My snacks are almost
all gone Uncle David.

Co-piloting and snacking can
wear out a little girl.

Taxi-way.
